Pictures taken with Nikon 28-70 AFS ED F/2.8 Lens.
Everything
you've heard on the web about this lens is true. No wonder it is
called the ''beast''. Wherever you aim this lens to, it will be in
focus instantly either on a DSLR or Film. The lens is 'S'
meaning it will focus fast and silently. we borrowed this copy from a
coleage photographer for a test drive before opening our wallet. The
lens proved to be a real Legend, but for our shooting style we found
ourselves stuck many times at 28mm in need of a wider angle. So we
went for the 17-55 AFS. We've lost 15mm on the long end, but
we gained 11mm on the wide end; The 17-55 gives the Focal
Lenght of about that of the 28-70 AFS on a film body. It is just a
matter of real need and shooting style, you can't go wrong with
either one. We found slightly better bokeh on the 28-70 AFS F/2.8.
