Spring
time and my Nikkor
60mm micro F/2.8
Spring is in the air and
resistance to get my Nikon 60mm micro lens out of our bag is futile.
The Nikon 60mm F/2.8 lens, is a remarkably sharp lens ideal for macro
photography, close up and copy. It is a nice lens for portraits as
well although I prefer my Nikon 85mm
F/1.8 and or
Nikon 105 DC F/2
for this task. If there is a lens I had to recommend, it sure will be
this one. See
more macro pictures here.
Define
picture quality: Nikon 17-55 DX AF-S F/2.8
Built from the ground up as a DX
lens, this lens is almost stuck to my camera. Fast responsive auto
focus even in low light situations. Sure you can find 3rd parties at
1/3 of the cost with similar IQ. When there are no second chances,
don't settle for less and go with this lens. Great in every aspect, I
wouldn't leave home without it for serious shooting. Click

Nikkor
105 F/2 (DC) Defocus Control lens
This is my favorite portrait
lens. With a 9 blades rounded diaphragm, out of focus areas are very
pleasant and natural. Nikon added the icing on the cake with the
defocus feature. This lens as mentioned in our gallery, has a small
learning curve in the beginning . Once you master it you'll be
rewarded with tack sharp images your models will love to hate. Click

Sigma
300mm HSM-APO F/2.8 telephoto lens
This is a lens I've been using
for almost 5 years with very satisfactory results. It is very sharp
wide-open, fast and silent focusing thanks to HSM
(Hypersonic Motor). When attached to Sigma's 1.4x
TC, it gives the equivalent of 450mm. Adding this to the 1.5x crop
factor from Nikon's DSLR and I get the best of 2 worlds. More
pictures soon, but
you can see some here.
New samples
with our Nikon D200 and 10.5mm DX AF F/2.8 fisheye lens
During a brief visit last week to
downtown Minneapolis, I couldn't resist to draw my Nikon D200 along
with my favorite Nikkor 10.5 F/2.8 fisheye lens. Check some of the
pictures I snapped during my 15 minutes in this nice city.
